The youngest model from the family of high-performance M.2 (PCI-E 4x) SSDs in the M.2 2280 form factor. Designed to equip mid-range, high-end and premium personal computers, laptops and workstations. It features impressive I/O performance (390,000/450,000 IOPS), high read/write speed (3400/3000 Mbps), and fast random block access time. Positioned as a product of the middle price category of the 2019 model year.
The Silicon Power P34A80 M.2 SP256GBP34A80M28 SSD is based on the advanced Phison PS5012-E12-27 eight-channel controller, working with a 256MB DDR4 DRAM buffer. High-quality 64-layer 3D TLC BiCS3 NAND flash memory manufactured by Toshiba was used for data storage. For the full operation of the device, a motherboard with an M.2 connector that supports the PCI-E 3.0 x4 (NVMe 1.3) interface is required.
The controller supports high-speed SLC write caching technology up to 8 GB, which guarantees excellent performance of the drive as a system drive and other typical home and professional use scenarios. Unlike HDD drives, this model has a high impact resistance. The manufacturer does not declare a guaranteed recording resource, but provides the device with a proprietary 5-year warranty.
